And where exactly am I headed? I dont know at all any more. I knew that betr perhaps 5 years ago, when I had simpler plans & a more optimistic mindset ...
But Today is different,
Today, I can just say one thing for sure- I have lost my way, and I got to make a choice:
1)Try and find a new way OR 2) Stay lost and happy
And with every day that passes, I find myself deeper and deeper rooted with the second philosophy! I think they call it "STUCK IN THE RUT"
smtimes to be lost is also good...
ReplyDeletetreading a known path will take you to your destination, but then the journey will not be as fascinating... where would be the serendipity!
Too much hype associated with 'meaning' of life and why we are here and what we want to do in life has only caused misery to people.
To have a goal in mind is always good, but not at the expense of torturing yourself for not being able to achieve it.
More important is how you are living your life.
If you are able to spend even 20% of your day's time into doing what you really enjoy doing, its worth the effort you've put in the remaining 80%.
Your being happy is important, not only for you, but for those who meet you, have met you or will meet you. For they would like to remember your 'greatness' rather than your 'achievements'.
ref. what I said above...saw dis video which I just have to share at d cost of sounding "too-cheezy"

Tanuj - hey, this is the first time I have read your blog and I too have asked these questions to myself : Where are we headed ?? have we lost directions ?? Is this what I really wanted ??
ReplyDeleteMy take: Earlier we had the option to change and never asked these questions to ourselves. But now that we have chosen our respective paths, the chance of changing our career, our personality et all are declining each day. Although we have better directions than ever before but are scared to commit to them. I don't know of this makes any sense, philosophy has never been my favourite topic :-)
