Oh how wonderful it could have been!

A speck of my imagination, long lost in the drudgery of life,
As we moved on , without as much as a backward sight.
But oh I do wonder !how wonderful it could have been !

The anticipation,the fear and the prayer for the future
Was the  ‘we’ meant to be temporary ? or was it our failure to nurture ?
And I still wonder!how wonderful it could have been !

Those endless conversations my dear ?
Weren’t they plain stupid and just an effort to endear ?
But alas ! it never really came close !
Should I have abused emotions or you some prose ?
And now I’m just left to wonder! How wonderful it could have been !


I still think of you in my personal time
Hoping you are happy or at least doing fine
And then I am left with little choice but to wonder ! Do you  ever wonder -Just how wonderful it could have been ?
